Hugo Amedei

Postdoctoral Fellow
Hugo Amedei is a scientist with a strong background in Proteomics. He was graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in Biological Science. He earned a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Science from the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), Germany, where his research focused on proteomic analysis and the development of new workflows for protein complex detection. Hugo has led several impactful projects, including the identification of mitochondrial impairment in the Phospholamban R14del cardiomyopathy. With a strong focus on cardiovascular proteomics, he brings extensive expertise in protein purification, bioinformatics and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Hugo has recently started his first postdoctoral position at the Foster Lab and is deeply committed to advancing cardiovascular research, utilizing proteomics to address complex challenges in the field, and discovering novel protein-protein interactions.
